The University Scheme was set up in 2005 – objective, “To establish and / or enhance arrangements and opportunities for undergrads and other University members to join and enjoy freemasonry”.

The earliest document relating to the Old Johnian Lodge was a letter from W.Bro William Whitelegge Thomas, of 210 High Holborn London, dated 15th September 1930. W. Bro Thomas was a member of St Mary’s Lodge No1312 and an Old Boy of St. John’s School, Leatherhead....
